People these days tend to look past all the little things in life that seem to not mean much but when you really think about it, it makes a difference in your life. We tend to focus on the more important things to us in life and never give ourselves the chance to stop and take breather and just look at your surroundings and realize how society has changed you as a person. Many of the characters in True Notebooks are eaten up by the reality of life. They seem to focus too hard on what they have to do, rather than what can they do and what their options are. Peer pressure is what is getting in the way of these inmates in the novel. Instead of having their heads in the clouds, they have themselves dug into a hole and are struggling to get out of the hole they dig themselves into. All because of their peers and the actions they have committed without thought. So instead of being able to look farther into their lives, they are stuck looking in the mirror a while or even their whole lives if they do not open their minds to what is possible. When I look past my own struggles I realize that the time was right to move forward and try to make the best out of it and think of the possibilities.

I feel that kids always want to tell their parents what they want to hear and that fails to let the parents know what their child really wants in life. Many kids feel like they are not good enough for their parents and then tend to hide their true self behind their clones that are one hundred percent with its parents. She is not the kind of girl that would want to upset her parents in any way but at the same time she knows what she wants for herself so she plays a role in the family that really is not who she is. Bringing disappointment to your parents is the last thing kinds want to do because either just afraid or are afraid what might happen to them if done so.
