I began life amongst people with a cinch for negative activity. I was born and raised in Inglewood, California for 12, basically two thirds of my life. By the time I was ten I knew my ways around Los Angeles making sure that I did not follow the wrong path and being able to survive in the place I called home. In 2004 I moved to St.Louis, Missouri which I spent 6 years trying to find a way to escape glumness for leaving my father behind in LA. Now that I reached the level and age of a young adult I committed myself to go on and proceed with life, also college. Columbia College Chicago has been my choice since my junior year of high school and I tried my hardest to get where I am today. Living with a single mother taking care 3 sons on her own was the only thing on my mind by the end of my senior, so I made the effort to come to Columbia to relieve stress off my mother and become the first child out of 3 to go to a 4 year college. My major changed over the past few months, I first wanted to do graphic design but I relized I am putting myself in debt just to sit in front of a comupter all day long. So I thought I'd try a new approach by doing film and video to add on to my list of talents. I enjoy creativity and urban expression from other people.
Thats deep man. You didnt use that you were raised in a bad neighborhood to stop your goals in life. Alot of people do that and blame where they grew up at and what they parents did as an excuse. Im glad you want to succeed man keep that up and you will.
