Megan

After eighteen years of being raised in Chicago, I still find out things this city has to offer everyday. After graduating from Fenwick High School, I have looked forward to pursuing my education as well as preparing me for my career at Columbia College. As of now, I am contemplating two majors, Fashion Marketing and Early Childhood Education. I have a deep interest in both areas, yet I believe being in the city will help me make the right choice. Ever since I can remember, I have been obsessed with clothing, and all around styling. I can picture myself making a life career out of it. But I also absolutely love everything about children. I love knowing that I can have what it takes to shape a young mind, and influence someone enough to change their life. Throughout my college experience, I will be doing a lot of research to finalize what I am going to do with my future. The three most important things in my life are my family, my friends, and my education. I would never had made it this far without the help and love of my family. They are always there for me. Without the inspiration of my friends, I would have never ended up at Columbia. They constantly helped guide me in the right direction. As far as my education goes, that is the foundation of my future. Without the education I have been given, I would not be able to pursue my dreams of being in fashion or a teacher. I know in my heart Columbia College is going to change my life. It already has in many different ways. It has matured me to the point where I just want to grow up from the high school student I used to be. Columbia makes me want to be a focused and intelligent student, not a party animal straight out of high school. I know I have what it takes to succeed, now all I have to do is try my best.
