A. In the book Persepolis Marjane's parents ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she tells them she wants to be a doctor but she feels guilty towards God because she tells God she wants to be a prophet. Why do you think she is hiding this secret from her parents? why can't she tell them? in the book True Notebooks are their any characters in the book that have secrets they can't tell? For example Mark writes in his notebook what he thinks about the kids but doesn't share it with them.
B. The global question has there ever been a time that you wanted to tell someone something but couldn't because of their title or role in your life? you don't have to share who it was or what it was but just describe how it made you feel.
I think Marjane is hiding the secrets from her paretns because maybe she does'nt want them to know yet.Or maybe they thought she wasn't serious. And I liked how her parents stood up to the teacher saying that what is wrong with their daughter becoming a prophet.Yes I had a time when I couldn't tell my parents something it made me feel frustrated because I wanted to tell them so bad. I just didn't have the right words to tell them. I'm still not sure if I would ever tell them what happened maybe in the future.Because know I can't tell them I feel bad because I'm so open with my mom especially. And I feel that their is to much going on right know.
