Samantha

I was born and raised in Chicago, but I was always in either Tennessee or Wisconsin for the summers,so I like to believe I have a little country in me.But,outside of that,I was raised in Bridgeport, and moved to Brighton Park later on. I'm a little bit of a city girl, and a little bit of a country girl. I love living in the city, but I know one day I'm going to be living in a small town or in the country. I just feel more at home in places like that.

I am a bookworm, always have been.I started reading really young and I don't think I've ever went anywhere without a book somewhere on me.I came to Columbia, for Fiction Writing, because writing is something that helps me get out what I cannot express when I'm speaking,I'm not a very good public speaker and because I love to make up stories,I have a crazy, vivid imagination and I want to put that to good use.I also came to Columbia for music,I love it and besides writing, music has honestly saved me.Columbia felt like home the minute I stepped into the open house.

The most important things to me are writing, music, and my family. My family is hectic, very mexican, very large and very loud.We constantly fight but we are always there for eachother,no matter what.Writing is my passion and music is my guardian angel so to speak.
