Carmelos: response 11

Ashly:

In Persepolis Marjane awaits for the biggest change she can think of. She waits for the day when women have the same equal rights as men in Iran this would have a major effect on her life because she is, of course, a woman. If and when this decision is made Marjane and other women like her will be able to decide if they want to wear a veil or not and show public affection for their boyfriend or fiancee. Marjane can only wait because Iran has the majority of the people supporting the Islamic Republic which has laws heavily influenced by the Quran. I believe can speak for all the bridge program when i say the one decision we all are waiting for is the decision if we made it into Columbia College. This decision will effect each of us different and have different consequences if we do not make it to Columbia College. For me personally i do not know what i would do if i do not get accepted, i guess i would try community college and then transfer but i am afraid the registration deadline has passed. Columbia College is everything to me right now, its the only place i feel i can expand my knowledge on not only audio but also art in general, the small field trips we have taken around Downtown Chicago have really opened my eyes to other concepts of art and creativity can be shown in many different aspects, in example the photographer yesterday showed how you can take a beautiful picture and alter just a little bit of it and come out with a different meaning for the picture. This concept makes me want to find a sound or phrase you would not consider music and transform it into a song.
