In both of the books Persepolis and True Notebooks, the characters seems to always have an obstacle in their way. In True Notebooks, a new character comes out of the blue with the name of Nathaniel Hall. He seems like the kind of person that everyone wants to do better than because of how cocky he is. In this way, Nathaniel can be viewed as an obstacle. What obstacles do the characters in your book face? Either as another person or thing?
Think of a time in your life when you felt that you have to do better than someone else. Explain if that made an impact in your life in a positive or negative way. What were some pros and cons about the whole situation?
